UPDATE Sunday, July 31st: It looks like many of you got your watches over the weekend! Woohoo! I'm still working on some higher-quality tutorial videos, but I went ahead and recorded a quick getting started video below. Let me know if you have any questions! Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
MASTERMIND WATCH OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The timing functions are controlled by two buttons on the case. Pressing the top button starts the timer running, and pressing the button a second time stops it, leaving the elapsed time displayed. Pressing the bottom button then resets the timer to zero.
STEP 1) When an LSAT section begins, press the TOP BUTTON to START the timer
STEP 2) When you're done, press the TOP BUTTON AGAIN to STOP the timer
STEP 3) After stopping the watch, press the BOTTOM BUTTON to RESET the timer to ZERO
PLEASE NOTE: If you skip step 2 & hit the bottom button while the timer is active, it will activate the split timer function instead of resetting to zero (see below).
***IMPORTANT: In order to RESET the watch to 0, you must first STOP the watch by pressing the TOP button.
Pressing the bottom button while the timer is STOPPED will reset the hands to zero.
Pressing the bottom button while the timer is RUNNING will NOT reset the hands to zero. Instead, it will activate the split timer function. The watch hands will freeze, but internally the watch will continue to keep time. Pressing the bottom button a second time will unfreeze the hands, allowing the watch to resume & the hands are quickly advanced to the ongoing measured time.
Note: most people probably won't use the split timer function, so the important thing to note is that TO RESET THE WATCH TO ZERO, YOU MUST FIRST STOP THE TIMER BY HITTING THE TOP BUTTON BEFORE YOU PRESS THE BOTTOM BUTTON TO RESET.
SPLIT TIMER FUNCTION
The bottom button can also be used to read split times. When the bottom button is pressed while the watch is running, the display freezes, allowing the elapsed time to that point to be read, but the watch mechanism continues running to record total elapsed time. Pressing the bottom button a second time allows the watch to resume & the hands are quickly advanced to the ongoing measured time.
